Meet Leisa

Leisa Mayberry concentrates her practice in the areas of probate, administration and guardianship proceedings, trust funding and trust administration, and pre-litigation workouts and settlements. She is adept at walking her clients through all facets of these detailed and oft-times challenging matters. Leisa's certification as a mediator enables her to assist her clients in negotiating and reaching settlements of difficult disputes that would otherwise require complex and expensive litigation. She also serves as an administrative law judge for the Oklahoma Merit Protection Commission.

Prior to joining Robben Law, Leisa gained valuable experience serving as a career law clerk for U.S. Bankruptcy Judges John TeSelle and Niles Jackson, in the Western District of Oklahoma. She brings well-honed research and writing skills to complement her practice. Leisa attended the Oklahoma City University School of Law evening program as a Merit Scholar while working full-time for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. While at OCU, she served as Research Editor of the Oklahoma City University Law Review and President of Phi Delta Phi Hand Inn. She was honored as the J. Will Pless International Graduate of the Year for Province 17 and received the Law Review Board of Editor's Award in 1988.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, magna cum laude, and received the Duke Award for Outstanding Senior Woman. Thereafter she obtained her certification as a medical technologist from Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, then worked in the Immunology Laboratory at Sammons Cancer Center for five years before returning to law school.

Leisa grew up in Anadarko and now lives in Edmond with her husband Mike, children Jackson and Kenzie, and their goldendoodle puppy. She has served as a board member for Suited for Success and enjoys training for half-marathons and playing clarinet in several community bands and church ensembles.
